This site is a plain HTML magazine. We do not run cross-site trackers, sell data, or share what little we collect with advertisers.
What we collect
Standard web-server logs record the IP address, browser user-agent, and requested page for every visit. Those logs are used for troubleshooting and abuse response, and are retained for a short period. We may run a self-hosted analytics tool that keeps aggregate visit counts without cookies.
The contact form
If you send a message through our contact page, we store the name, email address, and message text you provide so we can reply. That information is not used for any other purpose and is not shared.
Cookies
We use only session cookies that the site needs to function. We do not set advertising cookies.
Third-party links
Articles link to third-party sites like Tor Project, Signal, and the Open Technology Fund. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We do not control them.
